Here we go again! Week thirteen: This Is How It Feels.
Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. -Genesis 2:8-9
And the “making of” video:
The lyrics, for your approval:
A wildly verdant garden
Filled with splendid fruit
I breathed the gentle atmosphere
Oh, to be with you
Brilliantly, your presence
Sends a bolt right through
This quivering, beating heart of mine
Every day is new
This is how it feels to be here right now with you
This is how it feels to be here right now with you
I wouldn’t mind forever
From just this point of view
You and me together
The elation that ensues
This is how it feels to be here right now with you
This is how it feels to be here right now with you
This is how it feels to be here right now with you
This is how it feels to be here right now with you
I fell in just an instant
I ate illegal fruit
All the things, my pleasure
Begin to fade from view
Aaaaaaaaaugh!
Aaaaaaaaaugh!
Aaaaaaaaaugh!
Aaaaaaaaaugh!
Though I felt forsaken
Blinded and confused
Though my faith was shaken
Still, I cried to you
This is how it feels to be here right now with you
This is how it feels to be here right now with you
This is how it feels to be here right now with you
This is how it feels to be here right now with you
Yeaaaaaaaaaah!
Yeaaaaaaaaaah!
Yeaaaaaaaaaah!
Yeaaaaaaaaaah!
They say today
If I hear today
The intended bond
Can be remade

When I first heard the song I didn’t pay attention to all the lyrics but mostly focused on the funky rhythm and the musical ensemble. After reading the lyrics I re-listened to the song. Now the song has been taken to a whole new level. My significant other and I both give it 2 thumbs up.
Very energetic intro, Seth! Two thumbs up!
don’t let U2 hear that. They’ll say they wrote it and sue Steroereel.
Very refreshing sound. Nice. This song has a middle eastern flavor to it. Caleb, your voice sounds smooth but some of the articulation is lost in the music. Great lyrics:) Makes you want to dance and move to the music!! Good job fellows:)
You know, as a cook (from the old school), I’ve learned that the best meals and dishes are never made with haste. My mom and grandma would spend all morning (very early in the morning)in the kitchen in preparation for their guests; some dishes were even made days ahead. Good ol’ fashioned down home cookin’ always takes time and always tastes the best… take in the aroma, savor the flavor. I do believe you have prepared a feast here, my friends. May all partake and enjoy!
Lemuel,
Now I’m drooling on my computer.
Thanks.
